This was another game where I was shooting both video and photos. Since shooting video is a higher priority right now I only shot photos for a short time. Here are some of my shots.

Usually when I shoot basketball I sit on the baseline or set up remotes. At the Mens Basketball game on February 20th I decided to shoot from the stands that are behind the basket. This choice was partially influenced because I was shooting video from that angle as well, but I liked it a lot and got some good shots.

UCI’s Baseball season is back and so am I for one more season before I graduate. I shot one of the opening series games against LMU on February 19th and started to get back into the swing of things (pun intended).

On February 2nd I shot a mens volleyball game. For some reason I didn’t have my D3 and I was shooting video that night with Canon 5D MKII. It really made me appreciate my D3 for shooting sports, although I did get some good video footage. These first 4 photos are from that game.

I work for the UCI Women’s Basketball team doing game filming. I have two associates that I work with so I often get to go down on the court and also take photos. Here are some shots from a game in February 18th against UC Riverside.
Long Story short, I went to set up a backboard remote at a Men’s Basketball game, had everything setup perfectly, was forced to take it down an hour before the game, set up a overhead remote, got some shots, left a little disappointed. I guess backboard remotes are no longer allowed at our arena….
With the assistance of Ian, Panda, and Lee, I was able to get everything set up quick and easy.
